LoanVision is Easy to Learn and Use

LoanVision was developed from the ground up to be as easy to use as possible. The ideal has been "If you can fill out an application, you can use LoanVision." This is accomplished by use the loan application metaphor; in other words, the loan application is directly presented to the user on-screen. Apart from a general information window and a few topical windows (such as appraiser information) all of the loan processing data is exactly where you would find it on a loan application. It is truly a"no brainer." You are not required to remember hot-key combinations (although a power user can use them if preferred) or screen access paths to follow to get to the information you need or want to enter. Everything is right in front of you, selectable from a standard Windows\Macintosh drop down menu.

All processing functions are accessible from the very same drop down menus accessible from the main menu bar. Specific verifications or batches of verifications can be printed by simply clicking on the desired menu item as shown below. Even the names of specific companies are listed in the menus.

A full complement of disclosures is also provided for you. Each is accessible from its respective menu with just a click of a button. The Good Faith Estimate is drawn up in a format that the borrower will find easy to understand;organized by fee type with each type subtotaled. For California, The Good Faith Estimate doubles as the DRE approved and HUD reviewed Mortgage LoanDisclosure Statement. Also provided for your convenience and professional image is a Loan Status/Approval form to help you keep in touch with your clients, in a written form, regarding the status of their loans.

All of the verifications have a preview mode whereby the user can preview the data before it is sent to the printer, so that any custom alterations can be made on-screen, without it effecting the underlying data in the loan.

All documents such as disclosures and submission forms pull all possible information from information already entered. And, as a feature we believe is unique to LoanVision, you can "database" these forms, creating multiple versions when desired. Using the button pad located on the top of each form, a user can create a new revision of the form, delete an old version, sort between forms created today (or last week) and print the form on demand.

A major time saving feature of LoanVision is its auto-dialing and call log feature. If you have a modem compatible phone system or suitable converter the user can stay in touch with any personnel associated with the loan transaction. No more sifting through loan papers to find a phone number, shuffling through rolodexes or programming autodialers. This information has already been entered into your loan file, why not use it? It is available with a click of a button.

Once you have dialed, the user can also enter a log of whatever was discussed by making a note of the conversation, or by simply marking its status. This as any lawyer will tell you, is indispensable if questions ever arise in connection with events and their timing in a loan transaction. To review the log, simply print the report, to screen or to the printer, and you will know exactly what was discussed and when.

Any of the pages of the loan application can be printed easily from the File menu. A click of one button will print out the entire application set including a complete schedule of real estate ready to put in the application and send off to the Lender, escrow, or any other interested party. LoanVision is able to handle any situation encountered in conventional loan processing.Multiple applications for a single loan are all linked by their loan numbers, and there is no limit on the number of applications per loan. If you had1,000 applications for a single loan, LoanVision is up to the job. There is likewise no limit on the number of residences, employers, deposit accounts, credit accounts, or real estate properties owned. Any of the above that do not fit on the conventional application are printed on page four of the application, or as many "page fours" as are required for the job.

A loan Prequalification and "what if" tool is available to you for help in evaluating current and prospective borrowers. In addition to calculating qualifying ratios and LTVs, you can calculate the maximum home a borrower can afford or the required income for a given loan senario.? Prospects can be entered without actually filling out a loan application, and when they turn into real applicants a handy 'Originate' button will turn the prequalification into a loan application ready for processing.

It is always easy for the user to keep tabs on the progress of the transaction by using the document tracking checklist. Most of the tedious data entry associated with keeping track of documents with other loan processing systems is eliminated, because document dating is handled mostly by clicking on the data entry fields. Default dates are anticipated and calculated automatically by LoanVision, and selection of the items is handled by means of a selection list. A report on these items is available also with just a mouse click.Additionally, any time a processing event takes place, such as printing a verification or disclosure, a checklist item is generated, including a calculated "Needed by" date. At origination, the initial checklist is intelligently generated, only including items that are needed; such as 1040s if self employed, condominium documentation if the subject property is a condo, etc.

When all of these features are combined into one package, you have asystem that will speed the processing of all your loans, enhance your professionalism, and eliminate the hassles to training new or replacement staff. One user,on spending the first day with the program, simply said "This is fun!".

Know Everything about your Mortgage Business

The reporting capability of LoanVision is one of its strongest features. Included in LoanVision are several basic management reports. Already discussed is the document checklist report. You can, at any time, print a batch report of all your active loans, with each loan on a separate page. Even more important, a report can be printed of your active loan hot sheet, listing all items that are due "today" but not yet marked as received. With this list your processors can tackle any problem first thing in the morning without even looking at a single loan file. Also included are a Pipeline report and Closed loan report, so that you can keep tabs on where you are going and where you have already been. A Pipeline/Status report report is available to show where each loan is in processing, with the status of verifications, conditions, the appraisal, credit report, title report and closing instructions. You can get a quick view into the next month by printing a '30 Day Closing' report and for help in filling out broker applications a 'Breakdown' report will show you the number, percentages and dollar amount of different types of loans you originate: Conventional vs. FHA vs. VA, ARM vs. Fixed, Conforming vs. Jumbo, etc.

Additionally, you can design a Custom (Ad Hoc) report based on any item of data in LoanVision. Report design is mostly on the basis of clicking on the data you want, selecting the search criteria, and formatting the output to look the way you want it to. You can change font sizes and styles and even colors if you have a color printer. Graphics such as your logo can be pasted in with just a click of the mouse. You can send the report to the screen if you don't need a permanent copy, to the printer or export it to a file if you want to use the data with another program such as aspreadsheet. It is quite powerful. In fact, the Management reports described above are really ad hoc reports integrated into LoanVision and provided for you as examples.

With this powerful feature you can define reports to tell you where you close the most loans and thus target your advertising, who sends you the most referrals, what prior customers you have that are in need of refinancing, or whom you close the most loans with. The possibilities are endless. You can also design reports that are targeted towards individuals. You could redesign the Checklist report, for example, and dress it up to send weekly to real estate agents associated with a given transaction. The possibilities are limited only by your imagination.

LoanVision Communicates

Since LoanVision is a Microsoft Windows Compatible or Apple Macintosh application, it can establish a "link," sometimes called a conversation, with other Microsoft Windows Compatible and Apple Macintosh applications. This means that you can take data from LoanVision and use that data in other state of the art programs such as word processors, drawing programs, desktop publishing programs and spreadsheets. Anytime the linked data changes in LoanVision, this data is automatically passed to the linked program without any effort on the user's part. Default cover letters, derog letters, gift letters, and so on can be created, cutting your work effort drastically and at the same time increasing your professional image with those you work with. These linked documents can even be faxed directly to another business with any Windows or Mac fax utility, such as WinFax by Delrina. A sample cover letter, linked to the Ami Pro word processing program is provided with LoanVision. Any time this document is opened in Ami Pro, the current loan data is passed to it, and the letter is practically half written. Links can also be created for spreadsheet programs. With this you can create your own amortization schedules or loan comparisons that get their information directly from the current loan in LoanVision.

LoanVision is Multi-user

LoanVision, at its very core, was designed with multiple users in mind. Its file locking procedures prevents users from accidentally altering data that is currently being used elsewhere and thereby protects from data corruption. If you start with just one user, to go multi-user you would simply purchase an additional WorkStation version. Each user of LoanVision can be set up with their own privileges and restrictions, including access by loan status type, so that your company can make the most of your in house expertise, not cluttering up a funder's computer, for example, with loans that have not even been approved. Each Workstation can be customized for it's unique settings, including which application it most often uses links. Each user can also customize the look and feel of the software to his or her taste, altering colors and fonts at will.

Loans can also be transferred between different LoanVision systems, allowing a workstation used in the field on a laptop to transfer files to the main processor, or giving management the ability to store closed loans in an archive for generating reports on at some later date.

LoanVision is Robust

Not only was LoanVision tested in the real world for more than a year and a half before it was released in May of 1993, the computer software language (Omnis 7©) used to develop it is one of the best in the world. Developed by Blyth Software, Omnis 7 is a programming language aimed at Fortune 1000 corporations. For your company, using software designed with Omnis 7 gives you the assurance that hundreds of thousands of other users have tried and proven its data stability, rather than gambling on a program built from scratch and "tested" on its current users. The versatility of Omnis 7 allows LoanVision to be modified and updated quickly, keeping you on top of current processing forms and techniques. While LoanVision is currently only available for Windows and Macintosh,Omnis 7 is available for other popular operating systems and will allow LoanVision to be converted quickly should another operating system become dominate. This means that your company can have software continuity over the years regardless of which computer systems become popular.

LoanVision is Mobile

Since LoanVision is designed to be the easiest processing software to use, it is perfect for the company who wants to computerize its sales staff. Origination including all disclosures can easily be handled by the sales staff in the field, with the loan data then being turned over to the processing staff back at the office. Unlike most mortgageprocessing systems, complete forms can be printed with almost any printer, since a laser printer is not necessary. Portable ink jet printers are perfect!

LoanVision is Cost Efficient

No other loan processing program delivers so much for so little. Cutting edge technology does not necessarily translate into high cost. In fact, because of advancements in application development tools, designing sophisticated applications takes less and less time, when the company designing it is willing to invest in learning the new technology. LoanVision is an example of this. You can take advantage of the opportunity. LoanVision costs as little as $199 for a complete conventional loan system for single user situations. Live toll free support and additional modules for FHA/VA loans, Contract Processing, Custom Reports and Multiple Users are available. Please see our price list for all the options.
